TOLI BEGUM
TOLI BEGUM is 16 years old, who hopes to change the world one day. She came to the United States in 2015 to live with her parents. She studied at Bronx Bridges High School and graduated in 2020. She is now pursuing higher education at a university in New York City. Her dream is to help poor people through her education.
TOLI BEGUM has done many things throughout her life including photography, event planning, writing Newsletters for school, volunteering at school events like career day, culture day, student election. She is passionate about technology, photography, history, and humanitarianism.
TOLI BEGUM has participated in EVC's New Media Arts Workshop and has learned storytelling in an engaging way. In this workshop, she was focused on the topic of VIOLENCE to understand its roots by analyzing different perspectives through a Remix and a group website. More specifically, she had exposure to the utilization of digital cameras, creating websites, editing video and photo, creating storyboard, interview techniques. Through the New Media Arts workshop, she was able to learn things that not every youth knows how to do, including the use of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, etc.

Fun Fact: she chose to name her website as Blood THIRST based on the topic itself. She saw the pattern of violence leading to thirst of something destructive, in most cases in thirst of blood.
